LeArnIng To DrIvE iN MoNTerReY

Last week I began my lessons in learing to drive a 15 passenger van in the big city of Monterrey. I have to say that I really wasn't looking forward to it...the streets in this city are crazy, sometimes they don't make sense and I thought how am I ever going to learn this....oh and not to mention the traffic and the drivers...I thought I was going to die or at least get in an accident...

oh and then learning to drive a boat on the road...that took awhile to get used too. Now it is a comfortable feeling...but I still don't understand the streets...that is what I need to learn next and become familiar with.

So, just when I was getting comfortable...my driving instructor pulled one on me. Since I am going to have to drive van loads of people this summer, why not practice with a van load of people today...and not just anyone, but the staff at the base. Oh I thought I was going to die. I opened the van door, situated myself and the fun began. The noise started they started bouncing about...and I thought oh this is going to be fun. So I we pulled out from the base and started down the road...fortunately the bouncing stopped...but the noise and the questions started coming.

So, this is what it is going to be like driving the teams ...I thought...not to bad...as long as I can block everyone out and keep concentrated all goes well.

After this experience today, I think that I might enjoy driving in monterrey, and driving a 15 passenger... it turned out to more fun than I thought. My fear of drivin here has been conquered... now I know I can do it
