CrEaTiVe ways to keep out the cold

Last Friday when I returned to Monterrey, I was looking forward to enjoying some warmer weather...turns out that wasn't the case.
For those of you who haven't been to Monterrey, the weather here is pretty inconsistant. It can be warm one day and freezing the next. At the moment we are going through a cold spell.
For awhile we were using a gas heater to heat up our room, but decided that it wasn't safe to keep it on for hours on end.
So, a couple of us girls got creative and looked for some ways to keep warm at night. Marcie came up with the idea of building a fort to keep warm. Tina and I thought it was a brillant idea and joined Marcie in the project.
We ended up pushing two of the bunk beds together so that they would form a big L. Next we hung blankets all the way around to to provide some sort of insulation. I guess we shall find out if it works or not.

I bet it was pretty fun building a fort out of a bed. I would need (to build a fort) tons of pillows and tons of blankets and tons of sheets.
