Farewell Gina

This morning was the day I was not looking forward to for it was time to say good-bye to Gina. The Lord had called G to move to Maryland where she will be working with a Youth Group. It is is exciting to see her move on , and yet at the same time it is bittersweet because G was a good friend to me.

It took me awhile to warm up to her, and when I did I found a true friend. Not only was she my friend, but my sister in Christ. I could go to her when I needed to talk or needed her to pray for me. I knew that I could trust her and that everything that I told her could be kept in confidence.

G and I did many things together. One thing that we did frequently was walk round and round the park. We would get up early five times a week and walk at least an hour because G had to get her 1,000 steps in for the day :) Now that she is not here, I'll have to find someone else who is just as crazy about walking.

Now she is gone...it was hard to see her go...

She never was ours, but was His...He blessed us with her life for a period of time and now He was calling her to move on. I believe that will see her again some day...until then we will continue to stay in touch.
